Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-01-01. This policy explains what data ReduceTabs saves, how it is used, and how it stays on your device.

Privacy First

Overview

ReduceTabs is a Chrome extension that helps you save open tabs into named and grouped sessions, then restore them later. The extension runs locally in your browser and does not send your data to any server.

Data we save

ReduceTabs stores the following data locally on your device:

  • Tab URLs and titles for saved sessions
  • Session names and group names
  • Extension settings and preferences

How we use data

Data is used only to provide the core features: saving sessions, restoring sessions, and organizing your tabs. We do not use data for advertising or analytics.

Sharing and transfers

We do not sell, transfer, or share your data with third parties. All data remains on your device unless you choose to export it.

Retention and deletion

Your saved sessions remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the extension. You can also export or import sessions at any time.

Permissions

ReduceTabs uses Chrome extension permissions to access your open tabs, create tab groups, and store sessions locally. Host permissions are needed to save and restore tabs across all sites.
